Regular furnace maintenance ensures your furnace running safely and at peak efficiency. That means peace of mind and you will save money on your utility bill. Lack of furnace maintenance results in the system running inefficiently and all though it may continue to run, but it cost you more money as a result
Arrange a furnace maintenance and tuning up with our highly-trained professional technician before winter to ensure your furnace running efficiently and you avoid furnace breakdown in the coldest day of winter. Our technician will conduct a complete check up of your furnace, most import check up include:
- A complete visual system inspection
- An operational assessment
- Safety component and thermostat calibration check
- Measurement and correction of temperature difference between the source and return air
- A system cleaning and standard air filter replacement
- Gas or oil pressure and pilot light adjustments (for heating equipment)
Here are a few simple things you can do to see what the problem could be:
- Make sure your filter is not too dirty. Sometimes if the furnace does not breathe, it can cause it to shut down. As a habit the filter should be changed every 3 months.
- Check drain pipes to make sure they are clan and draining properly.
- Is your blower motor door properly attached? If not it can shut down as a safety mechanism.
- Check your gas! Is the furnace getting the gas it needs? Make sure it’s in the on position.
- You can go to your electrical box and make sure the breaker that corresponds is in the on position.
- Look for a switch. Sometimes it’s in the off position. This can be like a regular light switch or a lever that switches between your Furnace and Washer/Dryer.
- Make sure your thermostat is set to the proper setting. Heat for Winter and Cool for Summer!

- Check your thermostat and ensure it is in the ‘COOL’ position.
- Check to make sure the circuit breaker is ON
- Mark sure your Furnace ON/OFF switch is set to ON.
- Replace the filter if it is too dirty and lave the A/C off for 24 hrs before starting it again.
- Close all ducts/dampers in the basement with either flap/duct tape if needed.
- Make sure the temperature is set above 21 degrees C (70F)
- Ensure nothing has blocked the outdoor unit
- Check the blockage of the drain pip if there is water coming out from furnace top.
- Check to make sure the humidistat is set up to 30 – 50%
- Ensure the water valve is in the OPEN or ON position
- Check to make sure the Bypass damper is set to WINTER.
- Check the water panel or pad (inside the humidifier) to see if it is clogged
- Check to see if the water level is too low
